First of all I want to say a BIG THANK YOU, to everyone for making Teacher Appreciation week amazing! I love being here with your students everyday and seeing just how much they can do and how far they have come!

We only have three weeks left and I can't even believe it the years is flying by. This week in reading we talking about making connections with the books. What did the book remind us of, another book, something that has happened to us or something we have heard in the world. The kids had some really great connections and I hope that when you are reading at home they can talk about connections they make with those books. This is a skill we look for during our reading assessments. I will be starting these next week. In math we are talking about weight and how we weigh things. We took the assessment for measurement and they all did AMAZING! In writing we have been working on a surprise SHHHH and they have been doing great. I have been so impressed with their writing. I am hoping over the next few weeks we have left I can really see what they can do in writing more. :) We are wrapping up our science unit on living/non living things and we had a visitor come and talk with us about how important trees are.
