WOW! What a fabulous day at the zoo:) I am so glad that the weather worked out for us and I think the kids had a blast!
We only have three weeks left and I can't even believe it the years is flying by.
This week in reading we talking about making connections with the books. What did the book remind us of, another book, something that has happened to us or something we have heard in the world. The kids had some really great connections and I hope that when you are reading at home they can talk about connections they make with those books. This is a skill we look for during our reading assessments. I will be starting these next week.
In math we are talking about weight and how we weigh things. We took the assessment for measurement and they all did AMAZING!
In writing we have been working on a surprise SHHHH and they have been doing great. I have been so impressed with their writing. I am hoping over the next few weeks we have left I can really see what they can do in writing more. :)
We are wrapping up our science unit on living/non living things and we had a visitor come and talk with us about how important trees are.
