Welcome to Kindergarten! My name is Taira Jackson, and this is my thirteenth year teaching but my fifth year at Willard East. I have felt so privileged to call WEE my home. I am happy to be back in kindergarten after teaching 1st grade for two years.
To tell you a little about myself I have been married to my wonderful husband, Josh, now for eleven years in October. We have two beautiful daughters, Izabella (9) and Olivia (6). I also have a handsome step-son Thaddeus (14). Both girls are now students at WE and Thad will be a freshman this year at WHS! Josh and I both attended Hillcrest High School in Springfield and have grown up on the north side our whole life. I attended Missouri State University (formally SMSU) and graduated with my Early Childhood degree in 2003, then went on to receive my Masters in Education from Southwest Baptist University in 2009. I am currently in the process of getting my masters in Counseling. I just love kids and watching them learn and grow. Being at the start of your child's education gives me great honor and joy. I hope that I can be a positive start to a wonderful educational career in Willard Public Schools. :)
